In a nutshell, squeeze page templates consists of squeeze pages which are used to gather highly-targeted email addresses using three main things: design, structure, and copy. Each of these three as just as important as the other two, but cannot function effectively by themselves. They must be taken in complete consideration when creating a squeeze page templates so that it is used to its’ best ability. The result of this is a high conversion rate turning visitors into potential leads.

The design of the squeeze pagetemplates is essential to its’ success. Squeeze pages must be clean and professional, free from clutter, and use colors which do not scare off the visitor. To be safe, neutral and soothing colors are better than loud, eye-gouging colors. The design must not be too flashy and must also take in consideration of people in that niche. For example, if I were creating a squeeze page for senior citizens, I would make it extremely easy to read with big fonts and appeal to their senses.

The structure of the squeeze page templates should have the call-to-action (CTA) item above the fold of the page and have plenty of white space on the page. The secret is that most people scan pages instead of reading each word, so you must make the page easily scan-able. People don’t like to spend too much time reading and would generally read through the main points quickly with their eyes.

The copy in the squeeze page may be the most important piece. You can have a perfectly designed squeeze page with a nice structure, but if the words on the page do not make sense or do not grab the hold of the visitor, then that means you’ve lost a lead. The copy must be compelling enough so that the visitor keeps on reading the page and eventually submits their information on the squeeze page. If you are horrible at writing, it is suggested to pay for a copywriter to do that part for you. Then at least you’ll know you have well-written material on your squeeze page. Basically the copy must be short and sweet, gets to the main points, expresses the benefits to the visitor, and uses targeted keywords based on your niche.

Breaking down the copy even further, it’s in a few sections such as the headline, sub-heading, bullet-points, call-to-action, and miscellaneous.

The headline of the squeeze page templates is at the top and generally centered or to the top left of the page. The eye reads from top down and usually from left to right. Keep that in mind when selecting the placement of the headline.

Underneath the headline is a sub-heading, which is smaller in font and a different color than the heading. The sub-heading supports the headline in whatever claims it is making. For example, if the headline says, “You Are Not Making Enough Money!” The sub-heading would support the headline by adding, “Keep reading to find out how you can double your income…at whatever you’re making now!” Pretty bold claim, but it does the job by adding to or complimenting the headline.

As mentioned earlier, the squeeze page must use keywords that have been optimized for search engines such as Google and Yahoo. These keywords will help the squeeze page list at the top spots in the search results of those search engines.

Other miscellaneous items to include on the squeeze page are audio or videos to help add more meat to the page. It gives the visitor something to reference to immediately and keeps them on the page longer than if it were just text.

How a Squeeze Page Works:
1. Because your squeeze page has keywords optimized for search engine, it gets good rankings on Google and Yahoo. A visitor searches those keywords and lands on your squeeze page.

2. The squeeze page has copy which is properly written and it engages the visitor. They continue to read the page and view the video on the page.

3. The squeeze page has a free offer to the visitor providing more information on that niche with a free ebook of some sort. All the visitor has to do is enter in their email address.

Now the person who owns the landing page has an email on file with someone who is interested in that niche. The marketer can then pitch certain products to that person and turn him into a repeat customer.
